Texas Honey !

We love local and seasonal foods and nothing beats a sweet touch like Texas Honey ! Sofia recently added it to toast that had Nutella on it. " Too Sweet" said Camilla. So, we don't really recommend it but as always, The Cookie Chefs love experimenting with all things sweet.

4th of July Apple Pie

The all American tradition of having a homemade apple pie was present at the Zapatero home. Sofia and Camilla experienced making their first apple pie from scratch. We used organic pink lady apples, organic flour and sugar. Sofia says: " It wasn't hard but it wasn't easy either. I like the kneading part though." We learned a new secret for keeping the crust prtotected while baking by wrapping aluminum foil around the crust. We used a recipe from the Food Network from the FoodNation Show with Bobby Flay.
